  1. 1. Development of a new service-oriented modelling method for information systems analysis and design

    Author : Prima Gustiené; Anders G Nilsson; Sten Carlsson; William Wei Song; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Information systems analysis and design; conceptual modeling; service orientation; semantic integrity; static and dynamic aspects; goal modeling.; Informatics; Informatik; Information Systems; Informatik;

    Abstract : This thesis presents a new modelling method for information systems analysis and design, where the concept of service and the principles of service orientation are used for integrated modelling and reasoning about information systems architectures across organisational and technical systems boundaries. The concept of service enables cohesion of the intersubjective and objective modelling traditions by using a single type of diagram that facilitates detection of semantic inconsistency, incompleteness, ambiguity and discontinuity between the static and dynamic aspects of information systems specifications. 2. 2. Ontology Integration with Non-Violation Check and Context Extraction

    Author : Dan Wu; Anne Håkansson; Carl-Gustaf Jansson; Paul Johannesson; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ontology matching and integration; semantic and pragmatic matching; semantic techniques; context; ontology and rules; SRA - ICT; SRA - Informations- och kommunikationsteknik;

    Abstract : Matching and integrating ontologies has been a desirable technique in areas such as data fusion, knowledge integration, the Semantic Web and the development of advanced services in distributed system. Unfortunately, the heterogeneities of ontologies cause big obstacles in the development of this technique. READ MORE

  3. 3. Context Knowledge Base for Ontology Integration

    Author : Dan Wu; Anne Håkansson; Carl-Gustaf Jansson; Jelena Zdravkovic; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ontology integration; semantic and pragmatic integration; context; knowledge base; rules; SRA - ICT; SRA - Informations- och kommunikationsteknik;

    Abstract : Ontology integration is a process of matching and merging two ontologies for reasons such as for generating a new ontology, thus creating digital services and products. Current techniques for ontology integration, used for information and knowledge integration, are not powerful enough to handle the semantic and pragmatic heterogeneities. READ MORE

  4. 4. The Meaning and Uses of βασιλεία in the Gospel of Matthew. Semantic Monosemy and Pragmatic Modulation

    Author : Tobias Ålöw; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Bible; New Testament; The Gospel of Matthew; The Book of Daniel; The Kingdom of Heaven; The Kingdom of God; Charles Ruhl; Composition-criticism;

    Abstract : This study examines the meaning and uses of the term βασιλεία in the Gospel of Matthew. Contrary to the predominant scholarly view, according to which the pertinent term is a verbal noun signifying God’s exercise of kingship, it argues that this so-called dynamic usage is merely one aspect of a much fuller concept and multifaceted utilization of the term. 5. 5. The neurophysiology of grammatical constraints : ERP studies on the influence of prosody and pragmatics on the processing of syntax and morphology in Swedish

    Author : Mikael Roll; Allmän språkvetenskap; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; linguistics; event-related potentials; ERP; pragmatics; language processing; prosody; syntax;

    Abstract : This dissertation investigates the interaction of information from word order, morphology, lexical semantics, and prosody in the on-line processing of Swedish sentences using Event-Related Potentials. Study I examines how the form, meaning, and syntactic position of objects influence their interpretation in ‘Object Shift’ contexts. READ MORE
