1. Nanospintronics with Molecular Magnets - Tunneling and Spin-Electric Coupling
Abstract : This dissertation investigates theoretically electric control of the magnetic properties of molecular magnets. Two classes of magnetic molecules are considered. The first class consists of molecules that are spin frustrated. READ MORE

2. Magnetodynamics of pseudo spin valves investigated using co-planar waveguide and spin torque ferromagnetic resonance techniques
Abstract : Nanocontact spin-torque nano-oscillators (NC-STNOs), based on magnetic multilayers, can generate a wide range of highly nonlinear localized and propagating spin wave modes for use in magnonics. In this thesis, we study some aspects of these structures from the fundamental physics point of view using the spin torque ferromagnetic resonance technique (ST-FMR) and conventional broadband FMR technique. 3. Theoretical Studies of Two-Dimensional Magnetism and Chemical Bonding
Abstract : This thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part we study thermodynamics of the two-dimensional Heisenberg ferromagnet with dipolar interaction. This interaction breaks the conditions of the Mermin-Wagner theorem, resulting in a finite transition temperature. READ MORE

4. Theoretical Studies of Spin-Dependent Quantum Phenomena in Semiconductor Nanostructures
Abstract : The study of spin transport has emerged at the forefront of condensed matter physics during the last decade. Much of the interest has undoubtedly been sparked by the advent of the spintronics paradigm and the idea of creating novel electronic devices based on the spin degree of freedom of the carriers. 5. Effects of the Spin-Orbit Interaction on Transport and Optical Properties of III-V Semiconductor Quantum Wells
Abstract : Effects of the intrinsic electron spin-orbit interaction on transport and optical properties of III-V semiconductor quantum wells have been studied theoretically. It is shown that due to crystal anisotropy of this interaction, the weak localization magnetoresistance in a magnetic field parallel to interfaces is very sensitive to the epitaxy growth direction and also to the orientation of the magnetic field with respect to the crystal axes.
