1. Movement strategies and dynamic knee control after anterior cruciate ligament injury : a three-dimensional biomechanical analysis
Abstract : Background: Rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is common and mainly occurs in non-contact situations in sports, often due to momentarily poor movement control. Assessment of movement quality during sport-like tasks iscrucial to understand how to decrease the high risk of reinjury for ACL-injured persons, but also how to prevent primary injury. READ MORE

3. Simulations of the Dynamics of Fibre Suspension Flows
Abstract : A new model for simulating non-Brownian flexible fibres suspended in a Newtonian fluid has been developed. Special attention has been given to include realistic flow conditions found in the industrial papermaking process in the key features of the model; it is the intention of the author to employ the model in simulations of the forming section of the paper machine in future studies. 4. On Turbulent Wall Jets
Abstract : An experimental investigation of the two- and three-dimensional turbulent wall jets has been conducted. The measurements have been performed using different hot-wire techniques in large scale wall jet facilities, and the measurements were focused on the fully-developed region of the flow. READ MORE

5. Development of Time Resolved Laser Imaging Techniques for Studies of Turbulent Reacting Flows
Abstract : In the present thesis the development and application of a novel laser diagnostic system for high speed spectroscopic imaging of turbulent combustion phenomena is presented. The system is capable of recording sequences of up to 8 images with a separation between consecutive images as short as microseconds. READ MORE
