  1. 1. Robustness Analysis of Intracellular Oscillators with Application to the Circadian Clock

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH

    Author : Camilla Trané; KTH.; [2008]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Systems Biology; TECHNOLOGY Information technology Automatic control; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Informationsteknik Reglerteknik;

    Abstract : Periodic oscillations underlie many intracellular functions, such as circadian time keeping, cell cycle control and locomotor pattern generation in nerve cells. These intracellular oscillations are generated in intricate biochemical reaction networks involving genes, proteins and other biochemical components. READ MORE

  2. 2. Cell cycle deregulation in breast cancer subgroups and effects on proliferation, migration and tamoxifen resistance

    University dissertation from Department of Laboratory Medicine, Lund University

    Author : Sophie Lehn; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2013]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; subgroups; Breast cancer; proliferation; migration; stem cells; tamoxifen; estrogen receptor;

    Abstract : Breast cancer is a heterogenous disease which can be divided in subgroups of distinct biology with disparate prognosis and response to treatment. The overall aim of this thesis was to delineate subgroup specific behaviour in breast cancer cells with focus on proliferation, migration and stem-like cell activity. READ MORE

  3. 3. Compact-disc microfluidic methods for characterization of therapeutic antibodies Analysis of post-translational modifications

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Department of Analytical Chemistry, Stockholm University

    Author : Thi Thuy Tran; Stockholms universitet.; [2012]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Microfluidic CD; therapeutic antibodies; post-translational modifications; glycosylation profiling; multivariate statistical analysis; MALDI-MS; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Abstract : Characterization of post-translational modifications (PTMs) of therapeutic proteins is very important during the bioprocess development to maintain desired product quality and during the submission process to regulatory authorities for product approval. Monitoring glycosylation in pharmacokinetic studies can be useful to evaluate the dependence of clearance rates on different glycoforms. READ MORE

  4. 4. Co-morbidity and mortality in Swedish patients with haemophilia - A register study

    University dissertation from Department of Translational Medicine, Lund University

    Author : Susanna Lövdahl; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2015]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; registry; Haemophilia; HIV; viral hepatitis; malignancy; hypertension; cardiovascular disease;

    Abstract : Haemophilia is an X-linked inherited recessive disorder affecting males. The increased risk of hemorrhage is explained by the deficiency in either coagulation factor VIII (haemophilia A) or IX (haemophilia B). The severity of haemophilia A and B is characterized by the bleeding pattern. READ MORE

  5. 5. Modeling, control and path planning for an articulated vehicle

    University dissertation from Luleå : Luleå tekniska universitet

    Author : Thaker Nayl; Luleå tekniska universitet.; [2013]
    Keywords : Reglerteknik; Control Engineering;

    Abstract : This licentiate thesis is focusing on the modeling, control and path planning problems for an articulated vehicle. Based on a novel error dynamics modeling approach, the nonlinear kinematic model of the vehicle has been transformed in a linear switching model representation, which is also able to take under consideration the effect of slip angles, a factor that significantly deteriorates the overall system approach.
