  1. 1. Modeling, control and path planning for an articulated vehicle

    University dissertation from Luleå : Luleå tekniska universitet

    Author : Thaker Nayl; Luleå tekniska universitet.; [2013]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Reglerteknik; Control Engineering;

    Abstract : This licentiate thesis is focusing on the modeling, control and path planning problems for an articulated vehicle. Based on a novel error dynamics modeling approach, the nonlinear kinematic model of the vehicle has been transformed in a linear switching model representation, which is also able to take under consideration the effect of slip angles, a factor that significantly deteriorates the overall system approach. 2. 2. New perspectives on pathology in Huntington's disease - characterization of hypothalamic changes

    University dissertation from Translational Neuroendocrinology

    Author : Sanaz Gabery; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2015]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Huntington’s disease; huntingtin; hypothalamus; oxytocin; vasopressin; orexin; CART; neuroendocrinology; MRI; 3 Tesla; volymetric analysis;

    Abstract : Popular Abstract in English Huntingtons sjukdom (HS), även kallad danssjukan, är en ärftlig och dödlig sjukdom som leder till ofrivilliga motoriska rörelser. Personer med HS får vanligtvis symtom i medelål- dern och avlider efter 15–20 år. Diagnosen ställs klinisk när de första ofrivilliga rörelserna uppträder. READ MORE

  3. 3. Robustness Analysis of Intracellular Oscillators with Application to the Circadian Clock

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH

    Author : Camilla Trané; KTH.; [2008]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Systems Biology; TECHNOLOGY Information technology Automatic control; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Informationsteknik Reglerteknik;

    Abstract : Periodic oscillations underlie many intracellular functions, such as circadian time keeping, cell cycle control and locomotor pattern generation in nerve cells. These intracellular oscillations are generated in intricate biochemical reaction networks involving genes, proteins and other biochemical components. READ MORE

  4. 4. Compact-disc microfluidic methods for characterization of therapeutic antibodies Analysis of post-translational modifications

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Department of Analytical Chemistry, Stockholm University

    Author : Thi Thuy Tran; Stockholms universitet.; [2012]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Microfluidic CD; therapeutic antibodies; post-translational modifications; glycosylation profiling; multivariate statistical analysis; MALDI-MS; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Abstract : Characterization of post-translational modifications (PTMs) of therapeutic proteins is very important during the bioprocess development to maintain desired product quality and during the submission process to regulatory authorities for product approval. Monitoring glycosylation in pharmacokinetic studies can be useful to evaluate the dependence of clearance rates on different glycoforms. READ MORE

  5. 5. Erythropoietin receptor in growth control and anti-estrogen resistance of estrogen receptor positive breast cancer

    University dissertation from Department of Laboratory Medicine, Lund University

    Author : Susann Reinbothe; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2015]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; tamoxifen resistance; proliferation; PI3k pathway; Breast cancer; erythropoietin receptor; estrogen receptor;

    Abstract : The main function of Erythropoietin (EPO) and its receptor (EPOR) is the stimulation of erythropoiesis. Therefore, recombinant human EPO (rhEPO) is used to treat anemia in cancer patients, but some studies have reported that rhEPO treatment might promote tumor progression. Additionally, EPOR expression has been detected in various cancer forms. READ MORE
