1. Intermodal Road-Rail Transportation for Express Transport Services
Abstract : Express transport services are produced in highly modularised transport systems, a fact that implies that one subsystem can be exchanged for another without causing a need for major changes in other parts of the system. Express goods are not common on a large scale in freight railway transport systems, as those are often not considered reliable enough for time-critical goods. READ MORE

2. Operation and maintenance performance of rail infrastructure : Model and Methods
Abstract : Congestion of roads and sky, increasing energy costs and a demand to reduce emissions, have created a need to shift transportation from road and air to rail. Consequently, rail utilisation is increasing, adding stress to the rail infrastructure and time constraints to maintenance. READ MORE

3. Access management in intermodal freight terminals: The perspective of road haulier operations
Abstract : Given its possibilities of switching freight from road to more sustainable modes such as rail, inland water ways and seaways, intermodal freight transportation depends on environmental and economic variables. 4. Supply and demand of water transport : studies in cost and revenue structures of ships, ports and transport buyers with respect to their effects on supply and demand of water transport of goods
Abstract : In this work the term "water transport of goods" is defined as both the transport of goods by ship and the handling in port, and is assumed to begin the moment the goods to be transported arrive at the port of dispatch by road, rail, smaller vessels or other means of conveyance, and to continue until the goods, loaded on trucks, railway waggons, local boats or by other means of transports leave the port of destination. 5. The Internalization of External Effects in Swedish Transport Policy - A Comparison Between Road and Rail Traffic
