  2. 2. Ultrathin Oxides in Metal-Oxide-Silicon Structures: Defects and Characterization

    Author : Lars-Åke Ragnarsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; PMA; interface state densities; silicon; aluminum oxide; Pb; ultrathin; RPECVD; MOS;

    Abstract : The properties of metal-oxide-silicon (MOS) structures with ultrathin oxide layers (15-30 Å) have been investigated by means of electrical characterization. The characterization methods used were mainly capacitance voltage (C-V), current voltage (I-V) and constant voltage stress (I-t) measurements. READ MORE

  3. 3. Hydrogen in ultrathin vanadium layers

    Author : Gabriella Andersson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Fysik; Physics; Fysik; Fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : The influence of elastic boundary conditions on the thermodynamics of hydrogen in vanadium were investigated using resistometry, x-ray diffraction and nuclear reaction analysis. To provide varying lattice strain states Mo/V (110) and Fe/V (001) superlattices with thickness L of individual layers in the range 3-16 monolayers (ML) were used. READ MORE

  5. 5. Electrochemical detection of trace metals: from traditional techniques to new ultrathin membrane electrodes

    Author : Kequan Xu; Gaston A. Crespo; Maria Cuartero; Tom Lindfors; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ion-selective electrodes; ion-stripping voltammetry; ultrathin membranes; interconnected ion-transfer and charge-transfer processes; trace metals; environmental waters; jonselektiva elektroder; jon-strippande voltammetri; ultratunna membran; sammankopplade jonöverförings- och laddningsöverförings-processer; spårmetaller; miljövatten; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Abstract : Accurate detection of trace metals in environmental waters is an analytical challenge that is still open for the time being. The current state of the field reveals the predominance of the so-called hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) for multi-metal detection by means of anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV) readout.
