University dissertation from Linköping : Linköpings universitet

In year 2000 the European Union issued a directive demanding member to states to implement EPR for ELVs in national legislation. To analyse the economic consequences the case of car scrapping in Sweden is used as an example in all three essays. Sweden has a relative history of a car-scrapping scheme compared to other EU member states and implemented the EPR early. It was even implemented prior to the directive.(...)The following three essays are included in this thesis:Implementing extended producer responsibility: the case of Sweden's car scrapping scheme. K.
