16. Cancer Patients’ Satisfaction with Doctors’ Care : Consequences and Contributing Conditions
Abstract : The main aims were to: explore whether there is a relation between doctors’ ability to identify patients’ worry and wish for information and self-efficacy with regard to communicating with patients about difficult matters; describe which cues doctors consider when estimating patients’ worry and wish for information, and investigate whether there is a relation between patients’ satisfaction with doctors’ care and patients’ psychosocial function. Abstract : In the present thesis, computer-assisted reading intervention with a phonics approach was examined in deaf and hard of hearing children (DHH) aged 5, 6 or 7 years old using cochlear implants, hearing aids or a combination of both. Abstract : The overarching aim of this thesis was to investigate birth cohort differences in level of cognitive functioning and change in later life in three population-based representative samples drawn from the Gerontological and Geriatric Population Studies in Gothenburg (H70), Sweden.
