    Abstract : The alkylation with alkyl trifluoromethanesulfonates of hydroxyl groups in carbohydrates, containing base- or acid-labile substituents, has been examined.     Abstract : Vitamin K is essential for the synthesis of blood coagulation proteins. The anticoagulant drugs of coumarin and indandione type hinder the activity of vitamin K and thereby retard clotting.
