6. Characterization of Antigenic Properties and High Throughput Protein Purification
Abstract : To understand the cellular processes, knowledge of the localization and function of proteins are essential. There are several high throughput ventures examining the human proteome. However, there are some bottlenecks in these ventures. For example the production and expression of soluble proteins for analysis. READ MORE

8. Systems Biology of Glucose Sensing and Repression in Aspergillus niger: Lessons from Genomics and Transcriptomics
Abstract : Aspergillus comprises a genus of multicellular eukaryotic microorganisms containing close to 200 different species. Among them, the filamentous fungus Aspergillus niger exhibits great diversity in its phenotype and it is found, both in marine and terrestrial habitats. A. niger produces many metabolites that are valuable commodities, e. READ MORE

10. Citrus Waste Biorefinery: Process Development, Simulation and Economic Analysis
Abstract : The production of ethanol and other sustainable products including methane, limonene and pectin from citrus wastes (CWs) was studied in the present thesis. In the first part of the work, the CWs were hydrolyzed using enzymes – pectinase, cellulase and β-glucosidase – and the hydrolyzate was fermented using encapsulated yeasts in the presence of the inhibitor compound ‘limonene’.
