  1. 1. Prognostic and Predictive Factors in Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

    Author : Emerik Österlund; Tobias Sjöblom; Bengt Glimelius; Peter Nygren; Torben Frøstrup Hansen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; metastatic colorectal cancer; RAS mutations; BRAF mutations; biomarkers; outcome;

    Abstract : The outcome for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) patients has improved substantially in recent decades. This has chiefly been observed in study populations, and predominantly in left-sided primary tumours, which is why we wanted to study if and how survival has improved in the background population. 2. 2. The short, excited life of tellurium : Lifetime analysis of excited states in the Te midshell region

    Author : Ebba Ahlgren Cederlöf; Ayse Nyberg; Torbjörn Bäck; Johan Nyberg; Matthias Weiszflog; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; gamma spectroscopy; lifetime measurement; lifetime; shell model; RDDS; DDCM; nuclear physics; nuclear structure; gamma spektroskopi; livstidsmätningar; livstid; skalmodellen; RDDS; DDCM; kärnfysik; kärnstruktur; Atomic; Subatomic and Astrophysics; Atomär fysik; subatomär fysik och astrofysik;

    Abstract : In this licentiate thesis, lifetimes of low lying excited states in the midshell region of tellurium isotopes are discussed. The nuclear lifetimes are interesting properties to study, since they are inversely proportional to the transition probabilities, which contain information on the underlying structure of the nucleus. 3. 3. Fundamentals of Interactions between Cellulose Materials and its Implications on Properties of Fibrous Networks

    Author : Nadia Asta; Lars Wågberg; Scott Renneckar; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cellulose interactions; model materials; adhesive properties; chemical additives; fibre network.; Fiber- och polymervetenskap; Fibre and Polymer Science;

    Abstract : Fundamental research plays a pivotal role in the development of sustainable solutions that benefit both our environment and everyday lives. Cellulose, as an abundant and renewable resource, holds immense potential for sustainable applications. READ MORE

  4. 4. Computational Models of Spatial Transcriptomes

    Author : Ludvig Bergenstråhle; Joakim Lundeberg; Jens Lagergren; Ole Winther; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Biotechnology; Bioteknologi;

    Abstract : Spatial biology is a rapidly growing field that has seen tremendous progress over the last decade. We are now able to measure how the morphology, genome, transcriptome, and proteome of a tissue vary across space. READ MORE

  5. 5. Organic Electronics and Microphysiological Systems to Interface, Monitor, and Model Biology

    Author : Sebastian Buchmann; Anna Herland; Erica Zeglio; Agneta Richter-Dahlfors; Maria Asplund; KTH; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; organic bioelectronics; organic electrochemical transistors; conjugated polymers; microphysiological systems; in vitro cell models; Organisk bioelektronik; organiska elektrokemiska transistorer; Konjugerade polymerer; Mikrofysiologiska system; in vitro-modeller; Medicinsk teknologi; Medical Technology;

    Abstract : Biological processes in the human body are regulated through complex and precise arrangements of cell structures and their interactions. In vivo models serve as the most accurate choice for biological studies to understand these processes. However, they are costly, time-consuming, and raise ethical issues. READ MORE
