  1. 1. Production Strategy in Project Based Production within a House-Building Context

    Author : Henric Jonsson; Martin Rudberg; Anna Fredriksson; Lars Stehn; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Production strategy; Industrialised House-Building; House-Building; Off-site production; Performance measurement; Information exchange; Production strategy process;

    Abstract : A production strategy enables companies to effectively manage the different challenges that the production function face in a competitive environment. A production strategy helps a company to make operational and strategic decisions that follow a logical pattern and supports the corporate strategy and the competitive priorities of the company. 2. 2. Construction of Five-Membered Heterocyclic Compounds via Radical Cyclization

    Author : Stefan Berlin; Lars Engman; Mario D. Bachi; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Organic chemistry; radical; cyclization; carbonylation; melatonin; pyrrolidine; pyrrolidin-3-one; tetrahydrofuran-3-one; Organisk kemi; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Abstract : This thesis describes how radical cyclization chemistry can be applied for the construction of heterocyclic compounds.In the first part, a series of electron deficient α-phenylselenenylalkenes were prepared via a PhSeCl-addition/HCl-elimination sequence. READ MORE

  3. 3. Using connectivity graphs to support map-related reasoning

    Author : Peter D. Holmes; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This thesis describes how connectivity graphs can be used to support automated as well as human reasoning about certain map-related problems. Here, the term "map" intends to denote the representation of any two-dimensional, planar surface which can be partitioned into regions of free vs. obstructed space. READ MORE

  4. 4. The structure of epsilon-strongly group graded rings

    Author : Daniel Lännström; Johan Öinert; Stefan Wagner; Patrik Lundström; Gene Abrams; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; group graded ring; Leavitt path algebra; partial crossedproduct; Cuntz-Pimsner ring; von Neumann regular ring; non-unital ring; Mathematics and applications; Matematik med tillämpningar;

    Abstract : The development of a general theory of strongly group graded rings was initiated by Dade, Năstăsescu and Van Oystaeyen in the 1980s, and since then numerous structural results have been established.  In this thesis we develop a general theory of so-called (nearly) epsilon-strongly group graded rings which were recently introduced by Nystedt, Öinert and Pinedo and which generalize strongly group graded rings. 5. 5. lnterfacial Design and Characterization of Oligo(ethylene glycol) Self-Assembled Monolayers : Templates for Biomolecular Architectures

    Author : Ramūnas Valiokas; Stephen D. Evans; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This thesis presents efforts to better understand and control the interfacial properties of oligo(ethylene glycol)-containing self-assembled monolayers (OEG SAMs) on gold. This has been done by means of molecular and interfacial design, followed by extensive characterization of the SAMs using a variety of surface analytical techniques. READ MORE
