1. Collaborative Visualization : Designing and evaluating systems for co-located work
Abstract : This thesis investigates new ways of using information visualization to support collaboration in co-located work. To study this phenomenon, Multiple Viewer Display Environments (MVDEs) with independent views have been applied to present information such that all viewers at the same time and in the same display can see correct views of 3D models, see correctly oriented text and see different parts and aspects of information in each view. 2. 3D Occlusion Management and Causality Visualization
Abstract : This thesis is split into two parts: one part dealing with the management of occlusion in 3D environments, the other with the visualization of causal relations. Both of these parts fall within the general framework of visualization---the graphical representation of data (abstract or concrete) with the purpose of amplifying cognition---but they do so in different ways. 3. Supporting Data Interaction and Hybrid Asymmetric Collaboration Using Virtual Reality Within the Context of Immersive Analytics
Abstract : Immersive display and interaction technologies have rapidly evolved in recent years, offering advanced techniques compared to traditional Human-Computer Interaction. Computer-generated Virtual Environments viewed with stereoscopic depth perception and explored using 3D spatial interaction can represent more accurately how humans naturally interact in the real world. 4. Perceptually Motivated Constraints on 3D Visualizations
Abstract : This thesis addresses some important characteristics of human visual perception and their implications for three-dimensional (3D) information visualization. The effort can be divided into two parts. First, findings from vision science are explored and validated. READ MORE

5. 3D Gesture Recognition and Tracking for Next Generation of Smart Devices : Theories, Concepts, and Implementations
Abstract : The rapid development of mobile devices during the recent decade has been greatly driven by interaction and visualization technologies. Although touchscreens have signicantly enhanced the interaction technology, it is predictable that with the future mobile devices, e.g. READ MORE
