6. Development of New Synthetic Routes to Organoboronates by Catalytic Allylic Substitution and C-H bond Functionalization
Abstract : This thesis describes the development of new catalytic methods for the synthesis and application of organometallic reagents, mainly focusing on allylboronic acid derivatives. Thus, palladium pincer-complex catalysis has been applied for extending the scope of palladiumcatalyzed borylation reactions in the synthesis of regio- and stereodefined functionalized allylboronic acid derivatives. 7. Tools for Knowledge-Based Signal Processing with Applications to System Identification
Abstract : This thesis contains three parts: firstly there is an introduction to the field of knowledge-based signal processing - which denotes a combination of symbolic and numeric software capable of implementing algorithms of both algorithmic and heuristic character. Secondly suitable tools for knowledge-based signal processing are discussed - this includes the tools developed in our research. READ MORE

8. Regioselective Heck Coupling Reactions : Focus on Green Chemistry
Abstract : Carbon-carbon bond formation reactions are among the most important processes in chemistry, as they represent key steps in the synthesis of more complex molecules from simple precursors. This thesis describes mainly the development of novel regioselective applications of the mild and versatile palladium-catalyzed carbon-carbon coupling method, commonly known as the Heck reaction. 9. Dimensional Stability of Paper : Influence of Fibre-Fibre Joints and Fibre Wall Oxidation
Abstract : Papper är ett mycket mångsidigt material. READ MORE

10. Defense-peptides against mycobacteria
Abstract : Several members of the genus Mycobacterium can cause serious infections in both man and animal. One of the world's most serious infectious diseases, tuberculosis, is caused by the pathogen Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Specific defense to tuberculosis/mycobacteriosis is dependent on the individual's ability to mount a proficient immune response. READ MORE
