6. Morphological and Molecular Phylogenetic Studies in Neotropical Gentianaceae
Abstract : The Gentianaceae of the Neotropics are a diverse taxonomic group representing several evolutionary lineages. The phylogenetic relationships of neotropical gentians are discussed based on cladistic analyses of morphological, trnL intron, and ITS 1 sequence data. READ MORE

7. Structural and functional changes in the brain after surgically repaired median nerve injury
Abstract : Despite the best available surgical repair, traumatic median nerve injury within the forearm typically causes lifelong impairment in hand function. This stems from an inadequate reinnervation of the nerves supporting sensory functions of the thumb, index and long finger, and of nerves supplying intrinsic hand muscles. READ MORE

It is primarily based on long-term ethnographic fieldwork but also on analyses of web sites, newspapers and popular culture. READ MORE

9. Inside Pulsating White Dwarfs: Clues from time-resolved spectroscopy
Abstract : Several analyses using time-resolved optical spectrocopy of pulsating white dwarfs are presented. The data have been put to a number of uses. First, line-of-sight velocities associated with the pulsations have been measured in three hydrogen-atmosphere white dwarfs (DAVs), bringing the total number of such measurements up to five. 10. Secondary chlorophyll a luminescence decay kinetics from green algae and higher plants : mechanisms and application
Abstract : Barley protoplasts were shown to be a suitable experimental system for studies on the relative maximum during the decay of luminescence observed in most photosynthetic systems after excitation with far red light and in the presence of O2. The far red induced relative luminescencemaximum was shown to be a result of three coinciding events:*Randomization of the S-states of the water splitting system during illumination with far red light.
