21. Experimental Methods in Valve Characteristic Assessment
Abstract : This thesis deals with experimental methods for assessing performance and characteristics of fluid power valves. Mobile applications are traditionally manually operated open-loop systems. However, there is an increasing number of applications where it is interesting to use feedback controls in an outer loop. READ MORE

22. Antibody Feedback Regulation : From Epitope Masking to T Helper Cell Activation
Abstract : Antibodies have the ability to influence the antibody response against the very antigen they are specific for, in a process called antibody feedback regulation. Depending on the nature of the antigen, the antibody response can be either enhanced or almost completely inhibited. READ MORE

23. Dark Matter searches targeting Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxies with the Fermi Large Area Telescope
Abstract : In this thesis I present our recent work on gamma-ray searches for dark matter with the Fermi Large Area Telescope (Fermi-LAT). We have targeted dwarf spheroidal galaxies since they are very dark matter dominated systems, and we have developed a novel joint likelihood method to combine the observations of a set of targets. 24. Model for End of Life Treatment of Polymer Composite Materials
Abstract : Because of increasing environmental demands, especially on dealing with products end of life phase, product manufacturers and designers must consider the future disposal of their products. For conventional materials like steel and aluminium well-functioning recycling methods exists. READ MORE

25. Prior-less derivation of the astrophysical factor of Dwarf Spheroidal galaxies
Abstract : Dwarf spheroidal satellite galaxies (dSphs) of the Milky Way are considered ideal targets for particle Dark Matter (DM) identification. Indirect detection strategies entail examining dSphs in search for signals of annihilating or decaying DM, in the form of excess electrons or gamma- and X-ray photons above the astrophysical background.
