  1. 1. Towards CO2 efficient centralised distribution

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Author : Christofer Kohn; Maria Huge Brodin; Mats Abrahamsson; Alan McKinnon; [2008]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CO2 emissions; Centralised distribution; Structural change; Shipper; Transport; Trade-off; Interrelationship; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : This dissertation treats a topic that has received increasing attention as of late, namely that of the environment and in particular increasing levels of CO2 emissions caused by transport. The aim of the dissertation is to explain how a shipper, through various measures, can reduce transport-related CO2 emissions when centralising a distribution system and how this affects the provision of cost efficient customer service. 2. 2. Centralisation of Distribution Systems and its Environmental Effects

    University dissertation from Ekonomiska institutionen

    Author : Christofer Kohn; Mats Abrahamsson; Maria Huge-Brodin; Magnus Blinge; [2005]
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Business and economics; Logistics management; Centralisation of distribution systems; Green logistics; Environment; Structural changes; Ekonomi; SOCIAL SCIENCES Business and economics; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP Ekonomi;

    Abstract : Many believe that the current application of modern logistics solutions in general and centralisation of distribution systems in particular is damaging from an environmental perspective. The reason for this claim is that when a distribution system is centralised, products need to be shipped over greater distances. READ MORE

  3. 3. Continuous change in mature firms

    University dissertation from Ekonomiska institutionen

    Author : Kamilla Kohn Rådberg; [2005]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; mature and dynamic complex organizations; Ambidexterity; corporate entrepreneurship;

    Abstract : To create growth and prosperity for firms in mature yet dynamic industries, it is suggested essential to develop the capability of ambidexterity. Ambidexterity can be described as the ability to combine increased efficiency with the creation and development of new capabilities, through simultaneously balancing the logics of exploitation and exploration, either this is related to technologies, products or processes. 4. 4. Foundation of Density Functionals in the Presence of Magnetic Field

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Andre Laestadius; KTH.; [2014]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Current density functional theory; Hohenberg-Kohn theorems; paramagnetic current density functionals; Kohn-Sham theory; Levy-Lieb functional; variational principle; N-representable; degeneracy; Matematik; Mathematics;

    Abstract : This thesis contains four articles related to mathematical aspects of Density Functional Theory.In Paper A, the theoretical justification of density methods formulated with current densities is addressed. It is shown that the set of ground-states is determined by the ensemble-representable particle and paramagnetic current density. READ MORE

  5. 5. A new generation density functional towards chemical accuracy

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Zhang Ying; KTH.; [2011]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TECHNOLOGY Bioengineering; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Bioteknik;

    Abstract : Density functional theory (DFT) has become the leading method in calculating theelectronic structures and properties from first principles. In practical applicationsof DFT in the frame work of Kohn-Sham (KS) method, an approximate exchange-correlation functional has to be chosen. READ MORE
