  1. 1. Final-State-Resolved Mutual Neutralization of Li+ and H-

    Author : Alice F. Schmidt-May; Henning T. Schmidt; Fivos Perakis; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; DESIREE; ion; mutual neutralization; collision; lithium; hydrogen; Physics; fysik;

    Abstract : We studied the mutual neutralization of Li+ and H- at effective collision energies of a few hundred meV, which corresponds to temperatures of around 2000 K, in the double ion storage ring DESIREE.We present a new approach to match beam velocities and a new general analysis method for non-fragmenting mutual neutralization at DESIREE. 2. 2. Toward Predictive Maintenance in a Cloud Manufacturing Environment : A population-wide approach

    Author : Bernard Schmidt; Lihui Wang; Amos H. C. Ng; Fuqing Yuan; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; predictive maintenance; condition monitoring; population-wide approach; machine learning; double ball-bar measurement; Production and Automation Engineering; Produktion och automatiseringsteknik;

    Abstract : The research presented in this thesis is focused on improving industrial maintenance by using better decision support that is based on a wider range of input information. The core objective is to research how to integrate information from a population of similar monitored objects. READ MORE

  3. 3. Ionization and Fragmentation of Complex Molecules and Clusters : Biomolecules and Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons

    Author : Henrik A. B. Johansson; Henning Schmidt; Henrik Cederquist; Henning Zettergren; Thomas Schlathölter; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : This work deals with ionization and fragmentation of biomolecules and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) molecules. They are studied in the gas phase both as isolated molecules and as weakly bound clusters. READ MORE

  4. 4. Towards the Rational Design of Molecularly Imprinted Polymers

    Author : Håkan S Andersson; Ann-Christin Koch-Schmidt; Ian A Nicholls; Klaus Mosbach; Richard F Venn; Tillämpad biokemi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Thermodynamics; Molecular Recognition; Polyvalency; Cooperativity; Electrostatic Interactions; Hydrophobic Effect; Chromatography; Frontal Analysis; HPLC; Spectroscopy; Molecularly Imprinted Polymer; Molecular Imprinting; Crown Ether; Template Polymerisation; Cyclodextrin; Biochemistry; Metabolism; Biokemi; Biotechnology; Bioteknik; molecular recognition; Biokemi;

    Abstract : Molecular imprinting is a technique by which polymeric materials selective for a given target molecule can be created through a casting procedure. Functionalised monomers are added to a solution of molecular templates. READ MORE
