1. On Power Control and Scheduling to Mitigate Adjacent Channel Interference in Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication
Abstract : Safety applications play an essential role in supporting trac safety and eciency in next generation vehicular networks. The eciency of safety applications depends heavily on the establishment of reliable communication since these types of applications have strict requirements on latency and reliability. READ MORE

2. Unleashing Animal-Computer Interaction : A Theoretical Investigation of the “I” in ACI
Abstract : Non-human animals have had a long co-existence and relationship with human culture and society, and we interact with them in a number of ways, and for various reasons. Their involvement in technology can be traced back more than half a century, initially restricted to scientific contexts, for example, for the study of animal behavior, cognition, or language learning abilities. 3. On Adjacent Channel Interference-Aware Radio Resource Management for Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication
Abstract : Safety applications play an essential role in supporting traffic safety and efficiency in next generation vehicular networks. Typical safety applications require vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication with high reliability and low latency. READ MORE

4. Evolution of streamlined genomes in ultra-small aquatic bacteria
Abstract : This thesis investigates the evolutionary processes of streamlined genomes from aquatic bacteria adapting to different salinities, using two groups of ultra-small aquatic bacteria (LD12 Alphaproteobacteria and acI Actinobacteria). Due to difficulties in obtaining pure cultures of these bacteria, culture-free approaches (single-cell genomics and metagenomics) were used to construct and compare genomes, and to study the mechanisms and selective forces of adaptation to freshwater, brackish, and marine ecosystems. 5. Consciousness about own and others’ affects
Abstract : It is essential for individuals’ well-being and relationships that they have the ability to consciously experience, express and respond to their own and others’ affects. The validity of a new conception of affect consciousness (AC), incorporating consciousness of both own and others’ affects, was investigated in this thesis. READ MORE
