1. Search for Supersymmetry and Large Extra Dimensions with the ATLAS Experiment
Abstract : The Large Hadron Collider is the most powerful particle accelerator built to date. It is a proton-proton and heavy ion collider which in 2015 and 2016 operated at an unprecedented center of mass energy of √s = 13 TeV. The Tile Calorimeter is the ATLAS hadronic calorimeter covering the central region of the detector. READ MORE

2. Strengths and Weaknesses of the Cognitive Profiles of Autism and ADHD from a Cognitive Behavioral Perspective : Treatment, Prevention and the Understanding of the Comorbidity
Abstract : The aim of the present research was to increase the understanding of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) from a cognitive behavioral perspective. The investigation was made to examine the effect of modified cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) using visualization. READ MORE

3. Phenomenology of Diffractive Higgs Production and Large Extra Dimensions
Abstract : This thesis is based on phenomenological predictions for high energy particle collisions from two different theoretical models. The first two papers deal with uncertainties in exclusive reactions of type proton + proton -> proton + proton + Higgs. READ MORE

4. Phenomenological studies of dimensional deconstruction
Abstract : In this thesis, two applications of dimensional deconstruction are studied. The first application is a model for neutrino oscillations in the presence of a large decon- structed extra dimension. In the second application, Kaluza{Klein dark matter from a latticized universal extra dimension is studied. The goal of these projects have been twofold. READ MORE

5. Low Power and Low Complexity Shift-and-Add Based Computations
Abstract : The main issue in this thesis is to minimize the energy consumption per operation for the arithmetic parts of DSP circuits, such as digital filters. More specific, the focus is on single- and multiple-constant multiplications, which are realized using shift-and-add based computations. The possibilities to reduce the complexity, i.e. READ MORE
