  1. 1. Implementing spectrum commons: Implications for Thailand

    Author : Nattawut Ard-Paru; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; spectrum commons; institutional analysis and development IAD framework; spectrum assignment; spectrum allocation; Radio Regulations RR ; World Radiocommunication Conference WRC ; spectrum management;

    Abstract : Spectrum is a natural and limited resource that needs to be managed both internationally and nationally because of the unique propagation characteristics of radio waves. Once transmitted, a radio signal propagates until its power is depleted. Furthermore, electromagnetic energy does not recognize borders between countries. READ MORE

  2. 2. Spectrum Assignment Policy: Towards an Evaluation of Spectrum Commons in Thailand

    Author : Nattawut Ard-Paru; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; collective use of spectrum; spectrum management; benefit and cost analysis; spectrum assignment; spectrum commons;

    Abstract : There is consensus among economists, engineers, and lawyers that a traditional command-and-control approach to spectrum assignment is inefficient and that a market-based or commons approach can be more efficient. The purpose of this thesis is to find the benefits of using spectrum commons for frequency assignment in Thailand. READ MORE

  3. 3. Geochemical and mineralogical laboratory methods in waste rock drainage quality prediction

    Author : Teemu Karlsson; Lena Alakangas; Päivi Kauppila; Andrew Barnes; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Extractive waste characterisation; drainage water; ARD; NRD; ABA test; NAG test; SEM; Applied Geochemistry; Tillämpad geokemi;

    Abstract : Harmful substances containing acid or neutral rock drainages (ARD and NRD) are a major challenge related to the management of extractive industry wastes. This issue is particularly related to deposits containing sulphide minerals, which are prone to oxidization under the influence of atmospheric oxygen and water. READ MORE

  4. 4. Geochemical and Mineralogical Characterization of Waste Rocks for Preliminary Mine Drainage Quality Prediction

    Author : Teemu Karlsson; Lena Alakangas; Päivi Kauppila; Berndt Lottermoser; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mine waste characterisation; mine drainage water; ARD; NRD; aqua regia extraction; ABA test; NAG test; SEM mineralogy; sulfide minerals; risk assessment; Applied Geochemistry; Tillämpad geokemi;

    Abstract : Acid or neutral rock drainage (ARD or NRD) with its attendant elevated concentrations of harmful elements presents one of the main challenges related to the management of waste rocks. Low-quality drainage is a particular issue with respect to mineral deposits containing sulfide minerals, of which pyrite and pyrrhotite are especially prone to produce acidic drainage when exposed to oxygen and water. 5. 5. Alternatives in the treatment of abdominal rectus muscle diastasis : an evaluation

    Author : Peter Emanuelsson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Introduction: Abdominal rectus diastasis (ARD) is defined as a widening of the distance between the two rectus muscles located on either side of the Linea Alba (LA). A width of more than 3 cm is, in this thesis, considered as pathological. There are several reasons why ARD occurs, where pregnancy is one of the most common. READ MORE
