1. Exploring novel therapeutic strategies in neuroblastoma
Abstract : Neuroblastoma (NB) is the most frequently diagnosed extracranial tumour in children, which arises from transient embryonal tissue of the neural crest that fails to complete terminal differentiation into neurons. Even after completion of successful therapy, high risk neuroblastoma patients typically suffer from post-treatment induced toxicity which impacts on their ability to lead a normal life. READ MORE

2. Targeting Myc-driven tumours - BETing on ATR
Abstract : Cancer arises from loss of function of tumour suppressors and/or gain of function mutations in proto-oncogenes that disrupt the delicate balance required for homeostatic cell division, resulting in uncontrolled cell proliferation. Oncogenic transformation of multifaceted proto-oncogene - transcription factor - MYC can give rise to cancers and it is found to be deregulated in more than 70% of the tumours. READ MORE

3. The Mussel Adhesive Protein (Mefp-1) : A GREEN Corrosion Inhibitor
Abstract : Corrosion of metallic materials is a natural process, and our study shows that even in an alkaline environment severe corrosion may occur on a carbon steel surface. While corrosion cannot be stopped it can be retarded. READ MORE

4. Finding synergies for cancer treatment : new ways to modulate DNA damage repair by CX3CR1 and PFKFB3 inhibition
Abstract : The goal of targeted cancer therapy is to selectively kill cancer cells based on their molecular survival mechanisms. DNA repair is as a promising cancer target as many cancers have chronic replication stress and deficiencies in the DNA damage response. READ MORE

5. Acid Tolerance of Streptococcus Mutans Biofilms
READ MORE
