1. Pulmonary Drug Absorption : In vitro and in vivo investigations of drug absorption across the lung barrier and its relation to drug physicochemical properties
Abstract : Although, pulmonary drug delivery is a well established means for targeting of drugs to the lungs for the treatment of respiratory diseases as well as for the systemic delivery of volatile anesthetic agents, drug absorption kinetics in the lung have not been subjected to extensive research. The main objective of this thesis was to investigate drug absorption characteristics of the lung barrier, using the isolated and perfused rat lung model and in vivo pharmacokinetic studies in rats. 2. Synthesis and Characterisation of Potential Hydrogen Storage Materials
Abstract : The dissociative and non-dissociative hydrogen uptake in carbon nanostructures and metallic films were investigated by measurements and analysis of solubility isotherms. The total, non-dissociative, uptake for multi-walled nano-barrels and amorphous nanoporous carbon was determined to be 6.2 and 4.2 wt. READ MORE

3. Modern Computational Physical Chemistry : An Introduction to Biomolecular Radiation Damage and Phototoxicity
Abstract : The realm of molecular physical chemistry ranges from the structure of matter and the fundamental atomic and molecular interactions to the macroscopic properties and processes arising from the average microscopic behaviour.Herein, the conventional electrodic problem is recast into the simpler molecular problem of finding the electrochemical, real chemical, and chemical potentials of the species involved in redox half-reactions. 4. The open absorption system : energy savings in different applications
Abstract : The open absorption system is a technique that makes it possible to recover energy in different processes using moist air. In most applications the latent heat in moist air is difficult to recover because of the low temperature. Processes using outdoor air to carry away moisture therefore have high energy demands. 5. Nanoplasmonics for Absorption Engineering and Hydrogen Sensing
Abstract : When light interacts with metallic nanoparticles smaller than its wavelength it can excite a collective oscillation of the conduction electrons that gives rise to efficient light absorption and scattering. Moreover, locally strongly enhanced electric fields are created around the particles. READ MORE
