  2. 2. On Bubble Dynamics in Acoustic Cavitation

    Author : Ali Kadhim Hadi Alhelfi; Värmeöverföring; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : Nyligen har mycket uppmärksamhet ägnats åt studier rörande ickelinjära oscillationer av sfäriska gasbubblor i pulserande tryckfält. Denna lic-avhandlning syftar till att utöka kunskapen kring kavitationsfenomenet. READ MORE

  3. 3. Interaction of sound waves with a swirl stabilized wood powder flame and their effects on flame characteristics

    Author : Burak Göktepe; Henrik Wiinnika; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy Engineering; Energiteknik;

    Abstract : Swirling flows have been widely used for many years in engineering applications such as; chemical and mechanical mixing devices, separation units, spray drying technologies, turbo machinery and combustion systems. In practical combustion applications, swirl motion has been adopted to the incoming reactant flows in order to enhance the mixing of fuel and oxidizer and to improve flame stabilization and establishment, especially in regions of relatively low velocities, by recirculating hot product gas to the incoming reactants. Abstract : The cavitation phenomenon has today become a keystone for different areas of science and technology including various industrial processes and medicine. Recently increasing interest and much attention have been paid to study this phenomenon. READ MORE

  5. 5. Entrained flow gasification of biomass: soot formation and flame stability

    Author : Burak Göktepe; Kevin Whitty; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy Engineering; Energiteknik;

    Abstract : Entrained flow gasification (EFG) is a well-proven, commercially available technology for large scale coal gasification processes, with a production of a high quality syngas (a mixture of carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen (H2), carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and other compounds). For biomass, the process is still under development and there are several hurdles that must be cleared before it can become commercial. READ MORE
