  1. 16. Bacterioplankton in the Baltic Sea : influence of allochthonous organic matter and salinity

    Author : Daniela Figueroa; Agneta Andersson; Laura Alonso-Saéz; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Bacterioplankton production; bacterial community structure; allochthonous organic matter; carbon utilization; dissolved organic carbon composition; bacterioplankton ecological function; bacterial diversity; bacterial network; Baltic Sea estuary; food web; climate change.; Environmental Science; miljövetenskap;

    Abstract : Climate change is expected to increase the precipitation ~30% in higher latitudes during the next century, increasing the land runoff via rivers to aquatic ecosystems. The Baltic Sea will receive higher river discharges, accompanied by larger input of allochthonous dissolved organic matter (DOM) from terrestrial ecosystems. READ MORE

  2. 17. Non-conveyance within the Swedish ambulance service : A prehospital patient safety study

    Author : Erik Höglund; Agneta Schröder; Emma Ohlsson-Nevo; Margareta Möller; Magnus Andersson-Hagiwara; Eric Carlström; Örebro universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Ambulance; Ambulance nurse; Ambulance service; Emergency medical services; Non-conveyance; Non‐transport; Nurse; Patient; Patient assessment; Patient-safety;

  3. 18. Effects of temperature and terrestrial carbon on fish growth and pelagic food web efficiency

    Author : Robert Lefébure; Ulf Båmstedt; Pär Byström; Stefan Larsson; Agneta Andersson; Lars-Gösta Rudstam; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Attack rates; Bacterial production; Climate change; Critical resource density; Growth rates; Microbial food web; Three-spined stickleback;

    Abstract : Both temperature and terrestrial dissolved organic carbon (TDOC) have strong impacts on aquatic food web dynamics and production. Temperature affects vital rates of all organisms and terrestrial carbon has been shown to alter the dynamics of phytoplankton and bacterial production and affect the trophic structure of planktonic food webs.
