6. Al-Si Cast Alloys - Microstructure and Mechanical Properties at Ambient and Elevated Temperature
Abstract : Aluminium alloys with Si as the major alloying element form a class of material providing the most significant part of all casting manufactured materials. These alloys have a wide range of applications in the automotive and aerospace industries due to an excellent combination of castability and mechanical properties, as well as good corrosion resistance and wear resistivity. 7. The influence of Al alloy microstructure on conversion coating formation
Abstract : The formation of conversion coatings based on Ce, trivalent Cr and Ti/Zr is triggered by the local pH increase at cathodic IM sites of the aluminium alloy microstructure. The pH gradient is created over the cathodic intermetallic (IM) sites of the microstructure and its intensity is influenced by their activity which depends on their chemical composition, their size, and spatial distribution. 9. On the influence of Si on anodising and mechanical properties of cast aluminium alloys
Abstract : The combination of two cost-effective processes, i.e. casting and anodising, would be an interest for the aluminium component applications. However, there are some obstacles in the application of anodising on cast Al alloys. READ MORE

10. Al-Si Cast Alloys - Microstructure and Mechanical Properties at Ambient and Elevated Temperatures
Abstract : Swedish industry is a global leader in development and manufacture of automotive and aviation components where the usage of aluminium products is remarkable. In addition to manufacturing aluminium components, casting enables low-cost and low-emission production of complex geometry components with a range of sizes. READ MORE
