3. Banks, Shocks and Monetary Policy
Abstract : Essay 1: This paper studies the effect of monetary policy on the economy, distinguishing the effects of exogenous monetary policy shocks from information shocks that reveal the Federal Reserve's assessment of the economic outlook. To identify these two shocks, I exploit the difference in information content in public announcements by the Fed in its statements (released on decision days) and minutes of FOMC meetings (transcripts of the policy decision, released at a later date). 4. Accurate Finite Difference Methods for Option Pricing
Abstract : Stock options are priced numerically using space- and time-adaptive finite difference methods. European options on one and several underlying assets are considered. These are priced with adaptive numerical algorithms including a second order method and a more accurate method. READ MORE

5. Asset ownership in imperfectly competitive markets
Abstract : My dissertation consists of a collection of essays on assets ownership in concentrated markets.The first chapter, Endogenous Mergers in Concentrated Markets, predicts the pattern of mergers in situations where different mergers are feasible.
