11. Silicon Nanowire Based Sensors for Bacterial Tests
Abstract : Rapid and reliable antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) is urgently required to diagnose bacterial infectious diseases and avoid antibiotic misuse, providing valuable information on the efficacy of antibiotic agents and their dosages for treatment. However, the currently employed phenotypic ASTs normally demand the growth of bacteria into colonies, which usually takes more than two days. READ MORE

12. Synthesis of Conjugated Polymers and Small Molecules for Organic Light-Emitting Devices and Photodetectors
Abstract : Production cost and environmental impact are the two major concerns that are related to the conventional optoelectronic devices. It is desirable for the modern semiconductors that they are free of toxic/costly metals, they can be processed with low-cost solution-based methods, and their optical, electronic, and mechanical properties can be easily tuned depending on the target application. 13. Analysis of regional seismic data by means of higher-order spectra
Abstract : The use of higher-order statistical and spectral estimators as complementary analysis for conventional regional seismic data processing is studied. The issues addressed are; the properties of the complex bispectrum of regional seismic phases, the experimental detection performance of higher-order statistical detectors, discrimination between local earthquakes and explosions, statistical tests and bicoherence, biphase and spatial bispectrum analysis of regional P-, S, and Lg-phases. 14. Wind Turbine Sound Propagation in the Atmospheric Boundary Layer
Abstract : Wind turbines have grown both in size and number in the past decades. The taller turbines has made it possible to place them in forest areas which is fortunate for a country like Sweden with lots of forest. An issue with wind turbines is the sound they produce. The sound mainly comes from the rotor blades when they pass through the air. READ MORE

15. Space in the Space : Designing Sound Environments for the Shared Indoor Workspace
Abstract : The sound environment in shared indoor workspaces emerges through the interplay of physical layout, materials, technology, and social dynamics. These spaces are designed with specific purposes in mind, taking acoustics into account during construction. READ MORE
