  1. 1. Evolution of WC-Co cemented carbide microstructure during creep testing

    Author : Mohamed Amine Yousfi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; plastic deformation; cemented carbides; linear intercept; transmission electron microscopy.; electron backscattered diffraction; Atom probe tomography;

    Abstract : The aim of this work is to understand the mechanisms behind the plastic deformation of WC-Co based cemented carbides. The microstructures of two materials have been investigated before and after creep deformation using quantitative microscopy, atom probe tomography, and transmission electron microscopy. READ MORE

  2. 2. Microstructure Development of WC-Co Based Cemented Carbides During Creep Testing

    Author : Mohamed Amine Yousfi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; plastic deformation; TEM; APT; EBSD; WC grain growth.; Cr segregation;

    Abstract : The aim of this work is to understand the mechanisms behind the plastic deformation of WC‐Co based cemented carbides. The microstructure of two series with different WC grain size was investigated before and after creep deformation using quantitative microscopy, atom probe tomography, and transmission electron microscopy. 3. 3. Amine Transaminases in Biocatalytic Amine Synthesis

    Author : Henrik Land; Per Berglund; Helen C. Hailes; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Amine Transaminase; Biocatalysis; Transamination; Reductive Amination; Enzyme; Enzyme Engineering; Equilibrium Displacement; Screening; Enzyme Stability; Bioteknologi; Biotechnology;

    Abstract : The use of enzymes, nature´s own catalysts, both isolated or as whole cells to perform chemical transformations is called biocatalysis. As a complement to classical chemical catalysis, biocatalysis can be an environmentally friendly and more economical option in the production and synthesis of chemicals. READ MORE

  4. 4. Amine Transaminases in Multi-Step One-Pot Reactions

    Author : Mattias Anderson; Per Berglund; Frank Hollmann; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Biocatalysis; enzyme; amine transaminase; ω-transaminase; amination; primary amine; chiral amine; chemoenzymatic; green chemistry; synthesis; cascade; Bioteknologi; Biotechnology;

    Abstract : Amine transaminases are enzymes that catalyze the mild and selective formation of primary amines, which are useful building blocks for biologically active compounds and natural products. In order to make the production of these kinds of compounds more efficient from both a practical and an environmental point of view, amine transaminases were incorporated into multi-step one-pot reactions. 5. 5. Guiding of highly charged ions through insulating nanocapillaries

    Author : Hongqiang Zhang; Reinhold Schuch; Amine Cassimi; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Fysik; Atomic physics; Atomfysik; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : This thesis contains experimental work on guiding of highly charged ions through insulating nanocapillaries. We have studied the time evolution of angular distributions of transmitted ions under well defined initial conditions: already charged, as well as fully discharged nanocapillaries, by using a two-dimensional position sensitive Micro Channel Plate detector with a data acquisition system working in event mode.
