  2. 2. Randomised clinical trials with hyperbaric oxygen in COVID-19 and Long COVID : transcriptomic insights into benefits and harms

    Author : Anders Kjellberg; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The flow from transcription of genes through translation and processing of proteins is a common basis for all life. Redox homeostasis is crucial for the defence against oxidative stress. We adapt through hormesis; non-lethal stress regulates redox-sensitive systems to maintain homeostasis. READ MORE

  3. 3. Manufacturing system data management and development : towards a STEP compliant reference model for manufacturing

    Author : Mattias Larsson; Torsten Kjellberg; Anders Dannstedt; KTH; []
    Keywords : Information Management; Industrial Engineering; Collaborative Engineering;

    Abstract : Collaborative engineering assumes a common understanding of the domain. To make joint decisions the engineers must have a common language to start from. Standards such as STEP may be used to communicate engineering data but to speak about information integration and interoperability there must be ways to expose and share concepts as well. READ MORE

  4. 4. Room acoustics and cognitive load when listening to speech

    Abstract : The present thesis investigated the effects of background noise or a long reverberation time in learning situations. All studies used spoken texts that were presented above the speech intelligibility threshold, but were degraded enough to make listening more effortful. READ MORE

  5. 5. Repetitive and monotonous work among women : Psychophysiological and subjective stress reactions, muscle activity and neck and shoulder pain

    Author : Dag Rissén; Bo Melin; Ulf Lundberg; Anders Kjellberg; Stockholms universitet; []

    Abstract : Repetitive and monotonous work is frequently associated with neck and shoulder pain and negative psychosocial factors inducing stress reactions. The present thesis concerns the relations between psychophysiological and subjective stress reactions, muscle activity measured by surface electromyography (SEMG) in the trapezius muscle, and neck and shoulder pain in women performing repetitive and monotonous work.
