  1. 1. Noise in the preschool : health and preventive measures

    Author : Fredrik Sjödin; Ulf Landström; Anders Kjellberg; Anders Knutsson; Mats Nilsson; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Keywords : MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Noise; hearing disorders; stress; health; occupational environment; preventive measures; intervention; Occupational and Environmental Medicine; arbets- och miljömedicin;

    Abstract : This thesis is based on noise recordings and health evaluations carried out at preschools in the northern part of Sweden. Sound level recordings were made on individuals and by use of stationary devices in dining rooms and play halls. Health evaluations were based on ratings by use of questionnaires and by analyses of cortisol. READ MORE

  3. 3. Managing the Collaborative Front End of Innovation in Manufacturing Firms : Requirements, Capabilities, and Conditions

    Author : Fabio Gama; Johan Frishammar; David Sjödin; Vinit Parida; Anders Fundin; Fábio Gama; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Entreprenörskap och innovation; Entrepreneurship and Innovation; front end of innovation; collaboration;

    Abstract : The front end of innovation is critical to innovative efforts in firms yet it remains to be poorly understood. This especially important since innovation efforts in the front end are becoming increasingly open in line with the era of open innovation. READ MORE

  4. 4. Newtonian Spaces Based on Quasi-Banach Function Lattices

    Author : Lukáš Malý; Anders Björn; Jana Björn; Tomas Sjödin; Pekka Koskela; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Newtonian space; upper gradient; weak upper gradient; Banach function lattice; quasi-normed space; metric measure space;

    Abstract : The traditional first-order analysis in Euclidean spaces relies on the Sobolev spaces W1,p(Ω), where Ω ⊂ Rn is open and p ∈ [1, ∞].The Sobolev norm is then defined as the sum of Lp norms of a function and its distributional gradient.We generalize the notion of Sobolev spaces in two different ways. 5. 5. Sobolev-Type Spaces : Properties of Newtonian Functions Based on Quasi-Banach Function Lattices in Metric Spaces

    Author : Lukáš Malý; Anders Björn; Jana Björn; Tomas Sjödin; Andrea Cianchi; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Newtonian space; Sobolev-type space; metric measure space; upper gradient; Sobolev capacity; Banach function lattice; quasi-normed space; rearrangement-invariant space; maximal operator; Lipschitz function; regularization; weak boundedness; density of Lipschitz functions; quasi-continuity; continuity; doubling measure; Poincaré inequality;

    Abstract : This thesis consists of four papers and focuses on function spaces related to first-order analysis in abstract metric measure spaces. The classical (i.e., Sobolev) theory in Euclidean spaces makes use of summability of distributional gradients, whose definition depends on the linear structure of Rn. READ MORE
