  1. 1. On the automorphism group of Danielewski surfaces

    Author : Andreas Lind; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Automorphisms; Danielewski surfaces; Overshears; MATHEMATICS; MATEMATIK;

    Abstract : In this thesis we define the notion of an overshear on a Danielewski surface. We show that the group generated by the overshears is dense (in the compact open topology) in the automorphism group for small degrees of the defining polynomial. It is also shown in the thesis that the overshear group has a structure of an amalgamated product. READ MORE

  2. 2. Semantic Self-monitoring in Speech. Using Real-time Speech Exchange to Investigate the Use of Auditory Feedback for Self-comprehension

    Author : Andreas Lind; Kognitionsvetenskap; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Speech production; self-monitoring; voice manipulation; self-comprehension; sense of agency; auditory feedback; Real-time Speech Exchange; internal monitoring;

    Abstract : This thesis investigates speech production and self-monitoring by using a newly constructed Real-time Speech Exchange (RSE) system. This system makes it possible to covertly manipulate the auditory feedback that participants receive of their own voice. READ MORE

  3. 3. Holomorphic automorphisms of Danielewski surfaces

    Author : Andreas Lind; Frank Kutzschebauch; Egmont Porten; Frank Wikström; Erik Low; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Danielewski surfaces; holomorphic; automorphisms; Lie groups; Algebra; geometry and mathematical analysis; Algebra; geometri och analys;

    Abstract : In this thesis we define the notion of an overshear on a Danielewskisurface. Next we show that the group generated by the overshears is dense in the component of the identity of the automorphism group. READ MORE

  4. 4. Visualizing Dynamics –The Perception of Spatiotemporal Data in 2D and 3D

    Author : Andreas Kjellin; Mats Lind; Else Nygren; Kjell Ohlsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Människa-dator-interaktion; Human-Computer Interaction; Information Visualization; Usability; 2D; 3D; Cue Probability Learning; Space-time Cub; Människa-dator-interaktion;

    Abstract : In many command and control situations the understanding of dynamic events is crucial. With today’s development of hard- and software architecture, we have the possibility to visualize data in two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) images. READ MORE

  5. 5. Dynamic soil-structure interaction of simply supported high-speed railway bridges

    Author : Johan Lind Östlund; Jean-Marc Battini; Andreas Andersson; Mahir Ülker-Kaustell; Rui Calçada; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Dynamic soil-structure interaction; Railway bridge; Impedance function; Soil dynamics; High-speed train; Structural Engineering and Bridges; Bro- och stålbyggnad;

    Abstract : Research performed on the subject of dynamic soil-structure interaction (SS) concerning railway bridges is presented in this thesis with the focus on simply supported railway bridges supported by shallow foundations in soil strata on bedrock. The research aims to obtain insight into the SSI of high-speed railway bridges and to provide recommendations on how to model the soil-bridge system from a design perspective. READ MORE
