  1. 1. Clinically-driven angiography after coronary artery bypass surgery : Results from the SWEDEHEART registry

    Author : Mikael Janiec; Rickard Lindblom; Stefan Thelin; Alexander Wahba; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; CABG; Coronary artery bypass surgery; angiography; graft failure; Thorax Surgery; Thoraxkirurgi;

    Abstract : The success of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) arguably depends on the patency rate of the conduits. The saphenous vein grafts (SVGs) most often used are subject to graft disease and their reduced long-term patency compared to left internal mammary artery (IMA) grafts is well established. READ MORE

  2. 2. Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Angiography - Development and optimization of techniques for paramagnetic and hyperpolarized contrast media

    Author : Jonas Svensson; Malmö Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; egenskaper elektriska; Kondenserade materiens egenskaper:elektronstruktur; spectroscopy; relaxation; Angiography; Magnetic resonance; Contrast-enhanced; Hyperpolarized; Condensed matter:electronic structure; 13C; supraconductors; electrical; magnetic and optical properties; magnetiska och optiska ; supraledare; magnetisk resonans; spektroskopi;

    Abstract : Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography (CE-MRA) is a diagnostic method for imaging of vascular structures based on nuclear magnetic resonance. Vascular enhancement is achieved by injection of a contrast medium (CM). READ MORE

  3. 3. 3D Rotational Angiography of Transplanted Renal Arteries : A Clinical and Experimental Study

    Author : Gaute Hagen; Anders Magnusson; Jonas Wadström; Jarl Jakobsen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Radiology; Kidney; transplantation; renal angiography; renal arteries; stenosis or obstruction; imaging; three-dimensional; artifacts; Radiologisk forskning; Radiological research; Radiologisk forskning;

    Abstract : Three-dimensional rotational angiography (3D-RA) is an established method within the field of interventional neuroradiology. The method has also a great potential in other areas with a complicated arterial anatomy. READ MORE

  4. 4. Coronary angiography after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest

    Author : Rickard Lagedal; Sten Rubertsson; Stefan James; David Smekal; Markus Skrifvars; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cardiac arrest; OHCA; coronary angiography; PCI; percutaneous coronary intervention; socioeconomy; Anestesiologi och intensivvård; Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care;

    Abstract : Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is a common cause of death with a survival rate of 10% in Sweden. The chance of survival depends on rapid recognition, high quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation and post-resuscitation care including searching and treating the cause of the arrest. READ MORE

  5. 5. Non-invasive diagnostic methods of intracranial arteries

    Author : Birgitta Ramgren; Lund Diagnostisk radiologi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; intracranial aneurysms; endovascular treatment; follow-up; subarachnoid haemorrhage; digital subtraction angiography; magnetic resonance angiography; computed tomography angiography; technical aspects; contrast agents; image quality;

    Abstract : Aims of this thesis were to compare the agreement of different magnetic resonance angiography(MRA) techniques and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) in follow-up of intracranial aneurysms treated with coils in order to select the best MRA method, to evaluate the impact of increased iodine concentration in contrast medium and decreased tube voltage on arterial attenuation and image quality in computed tomography angiography (CTA) of intracranial arteries, and finally to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of CTA in non-traumatic subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH) compared to DSA and to assess the arterial attenuation (HU) as an image quality factor in this aspect. Follow-up DSA and time-of-flight (TOF) MRA at 1. READ MORE
