Abstract : The present investigation forms a part of a larger project on family therapy talk "Family therapy and social interaction". Discourse analyses are based on different subsets of more than a hundred videotaped family therapy sessions (with 20 families) and post-therapy interviews with the families and their therapists. 3. Drawing the limits : Unaccompanied minors in Swedish asylum policy and procedure
Abstract : The overall aim of the thesis is to explore legislators’ perceptions of unaccompanied children in the development of migration law, and how case-officers transform the policy in arguments for and against residency in asylum-cases.More specifically, this thesis explores how Swedish legislators experienced parliamentary work when putting in place the 2005 Aliens Act and the new system for appeals and procedures. 4. Restricting participation : Unaccompanied children in interpreter-mediated asylum hearings in Sweden
Abstract : The overall goal of this thesis was to highlight different communicative aspects of participation in interpreter-mediated asylum hearings with unaccompanied Russianspeaking children who had applied for asylum in Sweden between 2001 and 2005. Participation in the asylum process is guaranteed to these children by the Swedish Administrative Law and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), which are incorporated in the Swedish Aliens Act. 5. Sexually exploited youths in the Swedish legal system : Conditions of victimhood
Abstract : This thesis explores how the Swedish legal system, specifically the police and district courts, understand and construct cases of human trafficking for sexual purposes and procuring with under-age victims.
