    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Additivity; Apatite iron ore; AIO; Block model; Change of support; Classification; Data integration; DT; Feed quality; Geometallurgical program; Geometallurgy; Iron ore; Iron recovery; Leveäniemi; Liberation; Machine learning; Magnetic separation; Malmberget; Mineralogical approach; Mineralogy; Prediction; Proxies; Proxies approach; Sampling; Simulation; Synthetic ore body; Traditional approach; WLIMS; Mineral Processing; Mineralteknik;

    Abstract : The risks of starting, operating and closing mining projects have become higher than ever. In order to stay ahead of the competition, mining companies have to manage various risks: technical, environmental, legal, regulatory, political, cyber, financial and social. Some of these can be mitigated with the help of geometallurgy. READ MORE

  2. 2. The Tjårrojåkka apatite-iron and Cu (-Au) deposits, northern Sweden : products of one ore forming event

    Author : Åsa Edfelt; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Abstract : The Tjårrojåkka area is located about 50 km WSW of Kiruna, northern Sweden, and hosts one of the best examples of spatially related apatite-iron (Kiruna type) and Cu (-Au) deposits in Sweden. The results from this project show that the two deposits are genetically related and indicate the presence of a younger, previously unknown, 1780 Ma generation of apatite- iron ores in northern Sweden. 3. 3. Adsorption of surfactants and polymers on iron oxides : implications for flotation and agglomeration of iron ore

    Author : Elisaveta Potapova; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chemical Technology; Kemisk teknologi;

    Abstract : Iron ore pellets are an important refined product used as a raw material in the production of steel. In order to meet the requirements of the processes for iron production, the iron ore is upgraded in a number of steps including, among others, reverse flotation. READ MORE

  4. 4. Geophysical 3D models of Paleoproterozoic Iron Oxide Apatite mineralization’s and Related Mineral Systems in Norrbotten, Sweden

    Author : Oskar Rydman; Maxim Smirnov; Thorkild Maack Rasmussen; Tobias Bauer; Niklas Juhojuntti; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Geophysics; Magnetotellurics; 3D Inversion modelling; Classification; Potential fields; Mineral system; Petrophysics; mineral exploration; common earth modeling; iron oxide-apatite; Northern Norrbotten ore province; Tillämpad geofysik; Applied Geophysics;

    Abstract : The Northern Norrbotten ore district hosts a multitude of Sweden’s mineral deposits including world class deposits such as the Malmberget and Kirunavaara Iron oxide apatite deposits, the Aitik Iron oxide copper gold deposit, and a multitude of smaller deposits. Northern Norrbotten has been shaped by tectonothermal events related to the evolution of the Fennoscandian Shield and is a geologically complex environment. READ MORE

  5. 5. Paleoproterozoic deformation in the Kiruna‑Gällivare area in northern Norrbotten, Sweden : Setting, character, age, and control of iron oxide-apatite deposits

    Author : Joel Andersson; Tobias Bauer; Olof Martinsson; Nicholas Oliver; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Kiruna; Gällivare; structural geology; Paleoproterozoic; deformation; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Abstract : This thesis covers the structural evolution of the Kiruna‑Gällivare area in the northern Norrbotten ore province, Sweden. The study area hosts several economically significant iron oxide-apatite (IOA) deposits and includes the type locality for this ore type. READ MORE
