1. Bringing predictability into a geometallurgical program : An iron ore case study
Abstract : The risks of starting, operating and closing mining projects have become higher than ever. In order to stay ahead of the competition, mining companies have to manage various risks: technical, environmental, legal, regulatory, political, cyber, financial and social. Some of these can be mitigated with the help of geometallurgy. READ MORE

2. The Tjårrojåkka apatite-iron and Cu (-Au) deposits, northern Sweden : products of one ore forming event
Abstract : The Tjårrojåkka area is located about 50 km WSW of Kiruna, northern Sweden, and hosts one of the best examples of spatially related apatite-iron (Kiruna type) and Cu (-Au) deposits in Sweden. The results from this project show that the two deposits are genetically related and indicate the presence of a younger, previously unknown, 1780 Ma generation of apatite- iron ores in northern Sweden. 3. Adsorption of surfactants and polymers on iron oxides : implications for flotation and agglomeration of iron ore
Abstract : Iron ore pellets are an important refined product used as a raw material in the production of steel. In order to meet the requirements of the processes for iron production, the iron ore is upgraded in a number of steps including, among others, reverse flotation. READ MORE

4. Paleoproterozoic deformation in the Kiruna‑Gällivare area in northern Norrbotten, Sweden : Setting, character, age, and control of iron oxide-apatite deposits
Abstract : This thesis covers the structural evolution of the Kiruna‑Gällivare area in the northern Norrbotten ore province, Sweden. The study area hosts several economically significant iron oxide-apatite (IOA) deposits and includes the type locality for this ore type. READ MORE

5. Mineralogical, chemical and textural characterisation of the Malmberget iron ore deposit for a geometallurgical model
Abstract : The northern Norrbotten ore province is an intensely mineralised area and has traditionally been a very important mining district. It contains Fe, Cu-Au, Au, and Ag deposits ranging from world-class ore deposits to small and uneconomic ones (Martinsson 2004). The most important are the Kiruna and Malmberget iron ores and the Aitik Cu-Au deposit. READ MORE
