41. A Realizable Hybrid Mixture-Bubble Model for Cavitating Flows
Abstract : Cavitating multi-phase flows include an extensive range of cavity structures with different length scales, from micro bubbles to large sheet cavities that may fully cover the surface of a device. To avoid high computational expenses, incompressible transport equation models are considered a practical option for simulation of large scale cavitating flows, normally with limited representation of the small scale vapour structures. 42. Acoustical Measurements of Material Nonlinearity and Nonequilibrium Recovery
Abstract : A damaged material or a material with non perfect atomic geometry, dislocations or cracks, exhibits two types of characteristic responses to acoustic excitations. First is the fast nonlinear dynamics response that is present as long as the material is excited. As soon as the excitation stops the response disappear. READ MORE

43. Experimental Aerothermal Study of Internal Jet Engine Structures
Abstract : In commercial aviation, efficiency improvements may be gained by aerodynamic optimisation of its structural components, such as the intermediate compressor duct (ICD) and the turbine rear structure (TRS). These components have frequently been overlooked in favour of compressor and turbine module optimisation. READ MORE

44. Numerical modelling of particulate matter deposition in exhaust gas after-treatment systems
Abstract : As urban air quality declines, the corresponding levels of particulate matter (PM), that include pollutants such as sulfates, nitrates and black carbon, rise posing the greatest risks to human health. Hence, the control of these particulate emissions constitutes a major global challenge that commands serious attention. READ MORE

45. A Novel Fiber Interaction Method for Simulation of Early Paper Forming
Abstract : In the forming section of a paper machine, a fiber suspension is flowing down onto a forming fabric, and a paper structure is formed. By using computer simulations this process can be studied, attaining new knowledge helping to improve paper quality and machine efficiency. READ MORE
