11. TERMINAL FLOWER2, the Arabidopsis HETEROCHROMATIN PROTEIN1 Homolog, and its Involvement in Plant Development
Abstract : This thesis describes the characterization of the Arabidopsis thaliana mutant terminal flower2 (tfl2), the cloning of the corresponding gene, and the analysis of TFL2 function in plant development. The tfl2 mutant is pleiotropic, exhibiting early floral induction in both long and short day conditions, a terminating inflorescence and dwarfing. READ MORE

12. FtsH metalloproteases and their pseudo-proteases in the chloroplast envelope of Arabidopsis thaliana
Abstract : By cleaving peptide bonds, proteases either activate or degrade proteins and maintain protein quality control in response to various developmental stimuli and environmental factors. My work has focused on elucidating the role of the filamentation temperature sensitive protein H (FtsH) proteases. READ MORE

14. Modelling the development of phyllotactic patterns at the shoot apical meristem of Arabidopsis thaliana
Abstract : The study of phyllotactic patterns have a long history, but the bulk of our detailed understanding of developmental processes in plants comes from research conducted in the last thirty or forty years. New modern techniques have made it possible to study plants in ways that previously was not possible. READ MORE

15. MAPK-associated proteins in Arabidopsis thaliana
Abstract : Abstract Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinases (MAPKs) are signalling proteins that are highly conserved among eukaryotes. They are involved in many biological pathways including cell differentiation and response to different stress situations. READ MORE
