2. Monitoring of Cellular Dynamics with Focus on Electrochemical Detection Techniques
Abstract : This thesis presents work in two main areas of focus, the development of electroanalytical techniques to monitor the dynamics of cellular processes as well as design and fabrication of microelectrode chips for electrochemical detection as well as a prototype microfluidic system to be used for cell analysis and culturing. The electrochemically monitored cellular parameters were the cellular redox environment (CRE), cell adhesion and exocytosis. READ MORE

3. Berbati between Argos and Corinth : the excavations at Pyrgouthi in 1995 and 1997 : from the early Iron Age to the early Roman period
Abstract : This dissertation is based on the finds from the archaeological excavations at Pyrgouthi, Berbati, in the Argolid, Greece, in 1995 and 1997. The excavations focused on a rectangular tower built of heavy polygonal blocks, which was identified as belonging to a farmstead site during an earlier surface survey in the area. READ MORE

4. Assessment of prestressed concrete bridges loaded in combined shear, torsion and bending : uncertaintiers in deterministic and statistic methods
Abstract : The aim of the thesis is to investigate the load-carrying capacity of bridges according to different models for shear in combination with bending, torsion and prestressing. The following models are studied: Model with traditional summation of the contributions from concrete and steel accroding to the Swedish Code BBK 94 Strut model according to the European code EC2 Modified Compression Field Theory from Canada The models are applied to the Källösund Bridge on the road to the island Tjörn on the West coast of Sweden. 5. Load-carrying capacity of a strengthened reinforced concrete bridge : Non-linear finite element modeling of a test to failure. Assessment of train load capacity of a two span railway trough bridge in Örnsköldsvik strengthened with bars of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymers (CFRP)
Abstract : To meet the future traffic demands there is a constant need of making the infrastructure moreeffective. This can be achieved by increasing the capacity and/or life length of traffic lines. READ MORE
