  1. 11. Supporting Data Interaction and Hybrid Asymmetric Collaboration Using Virtual Reality Within the Context of Immersive Analytics

    Author : Nico Reski; Aris Alissandrakis; Andreas Kerren; Petra Isenberg; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; 3D gestural input; 3D radar charts; 3D user interfaces; empirical evaluation; head-mounted display; hybrid asymmetric collaboration; immersive analytics; spatio-temporal data interaction; user interface design; virtual reality; 3D-handinteraktion; 3D-radardiagram; 3D-användargränssnitt; design av användargränssnitt; empirisk utvärdering; huvudburen display; hybrid-asymmetrisk samarbete; immersiv analys; virtuell verklighet; Computer Science; Datavetenskap; Informations- och programvisualisering; Information and software visualization;

    Abstract : Immersive display and interaction technologies have rapidly evolved in recent years, offering advanced techniques compared to traditional Human-Computer Interaction. Computer-generated Virtual Environments viewed with stereoscopic depth perception and explored using 3D spatial interaction can represent more accurately how humans naturally interact in the real world. 2. 12. On the Design and Validation of Fault Containment Regions in Distributed Communication Systems

    Author : Håkan Sivencrona; RISE; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fault handling and membership agreement; Byzantine faults; asymmetric faults; fault injection; time-triggered protocol; fault containment regions; slightly-out-of-specification faults; validation;

    Abstract : This thesis has a two fold focus where the first is an evaluation of a time-triggered communication protocol implementation, TTP-C1, which was stressed by use of heavy-ion fault injection. The gathered result showed a novel type of failures, earlier known only from theory, so-called slightly-out-of-specification faults, that manifested as Byzantine failures with resulting system inconsistence. 3. 13. Public Key Infrastructure and its applications for resource-constrained IoT

    Author : Joel Höglund; Shahid Raza; Thiemo Voigt; Andrei Gurtov; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; IoT; PKI; cybersecurity; security; asymmetric cryptography; Contiki-NG; Computer Science with specialization in Computer Communication; Datavetenskap med inriktning mot datorkommunikation;

    Abstract : The Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly expanding and IoT devices are being deployed in security-critical scenarios, such as in critical infrastructure monitoring and within e-health, and privacy-sensitive applications in hospitals and homes. With this, questions of security and safety become paramount. READ MORE

  4. 14. On Approximating Asymmetric TSP and Related Problems

    Author : Anna Palbom; Mikael Goldmann; Lars Engebretsen; Peter Jonsson; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Komplexity theory; algorithms; approxiamtion; Computer science; Datalogi;

    Abstract : In this thesis we study problems related to approximation of asymmetric TSP. First we give worst case examples for the famous algorithm due to Frieze, Gabiati and Maffioli for asymmetric TSP with triangle inequality. Some steps in the algorithm consist of arbitrary choices. To prove lower bounds, these choices need to be specified. READ MORE

  5. 15. Radio and Sensor Interfaces for Energy-autonomous Wireless Sensing

    Author : Jia Mao; Lirong Zheng; Zhuo Zou; Markku Åberg; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ultra-wideband; asymmetric UHF UWB radio; clock harvesting; time-domain sensing; energy efficiency; Internet-of-things; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Abstract : Along with rapid development of sensing and communication technology, Internet of Things (IoTs) has enabled a tremendous number of applications in health care, agriculture, and industry. As the fundamental element, the wireless sensing node, such as radio tags need to be operating under micro power level for energy autonomy. READ MORE
