  1. 1. Dryout and Power Distribution Effects in Boiling Water Reactors

    Author : Carl Adamsson; Henryk Anglart; Barry Azzopardi; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dryout; Film flow analysis; Power distribution; Measurements; Subchannel; Atomic physics; Atomfysik;

    Abstract : Film flow measurements at several axial positions in round pipes with variousaxial power distributions are presented for conditions corresponding to normaloperation of a BWR. It is confirmed that the film flow rate approaches zero atthe onset of dryout. READ MORE

  2. 2. Measurements of Film Flow Rate in Heated Tubes with Various Axial Power Distributions

    Author : Carl Adamsson; Henryk Anglart; Bengt Sundén; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; film flow; film thickness; dryout; power distribution; annular flow; Atomic physics; Atomfysik;

    Abstract : Measurements of film mass flow rate for annular, diabatic steam-water flow in tubes are presented. The measurements were carried out with four axial power distributions and at several axial positions at conditions typical for boiling water reactors, i.e. 7 MPa pressure and total mass flux in a range from 750 to 1750 kg/m2s. 3. 3. Theoretical studies of bound states and resonances in two- and three-body systems

    Author : Stefan Andersson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; resonance; two- and three-body systems; Atomfysik; molekylfysik;

    Abstract : .... READ MORE

  4. 4. Resonant States in Negative Ions

    Author : Nicklas Brandefelt; John S. Briggs; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Molekylfysik; Atomfysik; Kärnfysik; Partikelfysik; Atomic and molecular physics; Atom- och molekylfysik;

    Abstract : Resonant states are multiply excited states in atoms and ions that have enough energy to decay by emitting an electron. The ability to emit an electron and the strong electron correlation (which is extra strong in negative ions) makes these states both interesting and challenging from a theoretical point of view. 5. 5. Feature Extraction for Low-Frequency Signal Classification

    Author : José Chilo; Thomas Lindblad; Christian Bohm; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; infrasound; seismic signals; feature extraction; wavelets; fingerprints; mining; multimodal data space; Atomic physics; Atomfysik; Electronics;

    Abstract : The development of the International Monitoring System (IMS) for the verification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) has led to a rapid revival of interest in infrasound. Furthermore, the installation of low-frequency sensors at seismic sites has increased in recent years, providing researchers with large and heterogeneous data-sets in near real-time. READ MORE
