  1. 1. Notch signalling in carcinogenesis : With special emphasis on T-cell lymphoma and colorectal cancer

    Author : Jonas Ungerbäck; Peter Söderkvist; Ola Hermanson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Notch signalling; T-cell lymphoma; colorectal cancer; Wnt signalling; transcription; Medical cell biology; Medicinsk cellbiologi;

    Abstract : The Notch signalling pathway is an evolutionary conserved pathway, named after the Notch receptors, Notch1-4 in mammals, which upon cell-cell contact and ligand binding releases the intracellular domain (NICD). NICD translocates into the nucleus where it binds the transcriptional repressor RBP-Jk, which together with co-activators belonging to the Mastermind-like family of proteins form a transcriptional activation complex. 2. 2. CD19-targeting CAR T Cells for Treatment of B Cell Malignancies : From Bench to Bedside

    Author : Hannah Karlsson; Angelica Loskog; Karl-Johan Malmberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; chimeric antigen receptors; CAR T cells; T cell therapy; immunotherapy; CD19; Bcl-2 family inhibitors; B cell malignancies; Klinisk immunologi; Clinical Immunology;

    Abstract : Immunotherapy for cancer is a young research field progressing at high speed. The first chimera of an antibody and a signaling chain was designed by Zelig Eshhar and was later further developed to enhance existing T cell therapy by combining a single-chain fragment of an antibody with the CD3 zeta chain of the TCR complex. 3. 3. Genetic and Epigenetic Profiling of Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

    Author : Anna Margrét Halldórsdóttir; Richard Rosenquist; Reiner Siebert; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; mantle cell lymphoma; chronic lymphocytic leukemia; copy number aberration; proliferation signature; TP53; SNP array; methylation array; Haematology; Hematologi; Clinical genetics; Klinisk genetik; Molecular biology; Molekylärbiologi; Tumour biology; Tumörbiologi; Medical Genetics; Medicinsk genetik; Oncology; Onkologi; Molekylär medicin; Molecular Medicine; Pathology; Patologi;

    Abstract : Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) both belong to the group of mature B-cell malignancies. However, MCL is typically clinically aggressive while the clinical course of CLL varies. READ MORE

  4. 4. Real-world studies on B-cell malignancies

    Author : Anna Asklid; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Randomized controlled trials remain the preferred way of evaluating new treatments. However, in studies on malignancies, trial data may not always be sufficient to address the requirements of health care providers and regulatory agencies regarding recommendations as patients are strictly selected through inclusion- and exclusion criteria. 5. 5. Analysis of Immunoglobulin Genes and Telomeres in B cell Lymphomas and Leukemias

    Author : Sarah Walsh; Richard Rosenquist; Christer Sundström; Anna Laurell; Andreas Rosenwald; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Genetics; B cell lymphoma leukemia; mantle cell lymphoma; hairy cell leukemia; lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma; immunoglobulin genes; antigen selection; telomeres; cellular origin; somatic hypermutation; Genetik; Clinical genetics; Klinisk genetik;

    Abstract : B cell lymphomas and leukemias are heterogeneous tumors with different cellular origins. Analysis of immunoglobulin (Ig) genes enables insight into the B cell progenitor, as Ig somatic hypermutation correlates with antigen-related B cell transit through the germinal center (GC). READ MORE
