6. Regulation of B cell development by antigen receptors
Abstract : The developmental processes of lymphopoiesis generate mature B lymphocytes from hematopoietic stem cells through increasingly restricted intermediates. Networks of transcription factors regulate these cell fate choices and are composed of both ubiquitously expressed and B lineage-specific factors. READ MORE

7. Molecular Genetic Analysis in B-cell Lymphomas : A Focus on the p53 Pathway and p16INK4a
Abstract : The presence of TP53 mutations has been associated with inferior outcome in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). In DLBCL, the impact of the TP53 codon 72 polymorphism and MDM2 SNP309 has not been clearly elucidated, whereas MDM2 SNP309 was suggested as a poor-prognostic marker in CLL. READ MORE

8. Stereotyped B Cell Receptors in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia : Implications for Antigen Selection in Leukemogenesis
Abstract : Biased immunoglobulin heavy variable (IGHV) gene usage and distinctive B-cell receptor (BCR) features have been reported in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), which may reflect clonal selection by antigens during disease development. Furthermore, the IGHV gene mutation status distinguishes two clinical entities of CLL, where patients with unmutated IGHV genes have an inferior prognosis compared to those with mutated IGHV genes. 9. B-cell responses after pertussis vaccination
Abstract : Despite years of vaccination efforts, whooping cough, or pertussis, is not under control. Although immunization has greatly reduced the disease incidence, thousands of children die of whooping cough each year. READ MORE

10. TRIM21/ Ro52 in B cell pathology
Abstract : Primary Sjögren’s syndrome (pSS) is a systemic autoimmune disease affecting 0.2% of the population. Several B cell aberrances have been linked to pSS, such as autoantibody production, hypergammaglobulinemia and B cell associated genetic polymorphisms. In addition, pSS patients display a 16 fold increased risk to develop B cell lymphomas. READ MORE
