1. Three Dimensional Determinations of Inclusions in Ferroalloys and Steel Samples
Abstract : As the requirements on material properties increase, there has been a demand on an additional knowledge on the effect of impurities in the ferroalloyson the steel cleanness. Thus, the number, morphology, size and composition of inclusions in sixdifferent ferroalloys (FeTi, FeNb, FeSi,SiMn, LC and HC FeCr) were investigatedin this study. READ MORE

2. Lignocellulose Degradation by Soil Micro-organisms
Abstract : Lignocellulosic biomass is a sustainable resource with abundant reserves. Compared to petroleum ‐ based products, the biomass ‐ derived polymers and chemicals give better environmental profiles. A lot of research interest is focused on understanding the lignocellulose structures. READ MORE

3. An experimental study on the interaction between the neuro-endocrine and immune systems in the gastrointestinal tract
Abstract : The mucosa lining of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract is in immediate contact with food nutrients to allow a rapid and efficient digestion and absorption and at the same time protects against the incessant risk of attack from pathogenic microbes. Maintenance of normal physiological activities in the GI tract is dependent on a number of regulatory interactions between the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems, as well as environmental and genetic factors. 4. P-type and polarization doping of GaN in hot-wall MOCVD
Abstract : The devolopment of group-III nitride semiconductor technology continues to expand rapidly over the last two decades. The indium nitride (InN), gallium nitride (GaN) and aluminum nitride (AlN) compounds and their alloys are direct bandgap semiconductors with a wide bandgap range, spanning from infrared(IR) to deep-ultraviolet (UV), enabling their utilization in optoelectronic industry. 5. A Study of the Heat Flow in the Blast Furnace Hearth Lining
Abstract : The aim of the present thesis was to study the heat flows in the blast furnace hearth lining by experimental measurements and numerical modeling. Thermocouple data from an operating furnace have been used throughout the work, to verify results and to develop methodologies to use the results in further studies. READ MORE
