1. Osteocytes as indicators of bone quality - multiscale structure-composition characterisation of the bone-implant interface
Abstract : By virtue of certain design features, bone anchored metal implants can be made to elicit a strong initial osteogenic response, i.e., the amount of bone formed. READ MORE

2. Bone Healing after implantation of bone substitute materials. Experimental studies in estrogen deficiency
Abstract : Bone formation and bone healing were studied in the mandible, tibia and skull bones in adult, healthy and estrogen deficient rabbits implanted with different bone substitutes. In the first study an evaluation of the differences in bone regeneration in and around solid (Alveograf *) and porous hydroxyapatite (Interpore 200*) was undertaken. 3. On implant integration in irradiated bone : clinical and experimental studies
Abstract : Radiation has an impact on the processes involved in bone- healing, regeneration and remodeling. The mechanisms that cause impaired bone healing of dental implants are not fully understood. Adjunctive treatments to revers radiation effects are limited. READ MORE

5. On bone quality and implant stability measurements
Abstract : In conjuction with placement of oral implants, the jaw bone quality assessment is mainly based on quantitative radiographic measures and the subjective opinion of the performing surgeon. While the primary implant stability is discussed in terms of the pre-set motor torque and the subjective hand-felt perception during final tightening of implants, the secondary stability is defined as the absence of implant mobility.
