16. Origin of the Kleva Ni-Cu sulphide mineralisation in Småland, southeast Sweden
Abstract : The Kleva Ni-Cu sulphide deposit is situated within a gabbro-diorite intrusive complex in southeast Sweden. The basement north of the intrusive complex is dominated by 1.81–1.77 Ga granites of the Palaeoproterozoic Transscandinavian Igneous Belt (TIB). READ MORE

17. Alkaline by-products as amendments for remediation of historic mine sites
Abstract : Mining has been and still is an important industry in Sweden, it has strongly contributed to the standard of living we have today. Extraction of ore began in the 12th century, but did not come about frequently until the 16th century, which is often seen as the starting age for ore processing and metal extraction. READ MORE

18. The geology and genesis of lead-zinc veins in Sweden
Abstract : The geology and genesis of Pb-Zn-bearing vein deposits in Sweden have been studied through investigations of their geological setting, vein and alteration mineralogy, wall rock geochemistry, lead and sulfur isotope composition and sphalerite composition, and through thermometric measurements on fluid inclusions from selected veins. The investigated deposits include Subjotnian veins from Älvdalen, Dalslandian veins from Dalsland and Värmskog, Caledonian quartz and calcite veins, Devonian deposits in the Siljan Ring structure, and Variscan veins in SE Scania. 19. Reprocessing historical tailings for possible remediation and recovery of critical metals and minerals : The Yxsjöberg case
Abstract : With increasing consumption of primary mineral resources, the generation of mining wastes has also increased thus requiring the mining industry to address the growing environmental concerns. Waste rock and tailings are potential secondary sources of critical raw materials currently in short supply in the European Union, but also a source for environmental issues like acid mine drainage. 20. The tectonic evolution of the western part of the Svecofennian orogen, central Sweden : Insight from U/Pb and 40Ar/39Ar geochronology at Forsmark
Abstract : The Forsmark area, in the western part of the Svecofennian orogen, central Sweden, is situated between two major Palaeoproterozoic tectonic domains that show contrasting histories with respect to timing of igneous activity, ductile deformation and metamorphism. At Forsmark, WNW to NW trending, ductile deformation belts anastomose around tectonic lenses with an inferred lower degree of ductile strain. READ MORE
