    Abstract : Background: During the last 30 years, important changes have been introduced in the management of common bile duct stones (CBDS) which can be detected in about 10% of patients undergoing cholecystectomy because of symptomatic gallstone disease. Established minimally-invasive treatment options for CBDS include endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and laparoscopic common bile duct exploration. READ MORE
