21. The High Temperature Corrosion of Alloy Sanicro 28
Abstract : This thesis investigates the influence of potassium chloride in solid and gaseous form on the oxidation of alloy Sanicro 28 (35Fe27Cr31Ni). KCl induced corrosion of chromia forming alloys is important e.g. in fireside corrosion in biomass and waste fired power plants. READ MORE

22. High temperature aerosol formation and emission minimisation during combustion of wood pellets
Abstract : Combustion of solid biomass under fixed bed conditions is a common technique to generate heat and power in both small and large scale grate furnaces (domestic boilers, stoves, district heating plants). From both an environmental and economical perspective, one of the most interesting alternatives to replace oil and electricity for heating of family houses and apartments in Sweden is wood pellets made of stem wood sawdust from pine and spruce. 23. Experimental and modelling studies of particle radiation in flames
Abstract : Combustion of solid fuels is an important part of many industrial and power generation processes. The global use of coal in these processes is vast and thus also the related emissions of CO2 to the atmosphere. It is not possible to continue on the path with continuously increasing emissions of CO2 if the global climate targets should be met. READ MORE

24. High Temperature Corrosion of Some Stainless Steels
Abstract : The high temperature corrosion of the alloy Sanicro 28 (35Fe27Cr31Ni) is addressed in this thesis. The influence of water vapour and two potassium-containing salts was investigated. In addition, three other alloys were studied. Polished steel coupons were isothermally exposed in tube furnaces at 600–800°C in 5% O2 and in 5% O2 + 40% H2O. READ MORE
