    Abstract : The aims of this study are to synthesize and produce a single-chain antibody (scFv) of the anti-cytokeratin 8 monoclonal IgG antibody TS1 and to functionally map amino acid residues important for the interaction with its antigen and the anti-idiotypic antibody TS1. The TS1 antibody has been shown to be effective in binding cytokeratin 8 (CK8) expressed in tumors in vivo and is proposed to be useful in immunotargeting and/or immunotherapy. READ MORE

  2. 17. Telomere analysis of normal and neoplastic hematopoietic cells : studies focusing on fluorescence in situ hybridization and flow cytometry

    Author : Magnus Hultdin; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Biomedicine; telomere; telomerase; fluorescence in situ hybridization; flow cytometry; flow-FISH; replication timing; chronic lymphocytic leukemia; immunoglobulin gene; prognosis; Biomedicin; Microbiology; Mikrobiologi; Medical Cell Biology; medicinsk cellbiologi;

    Abstract : The telomeres are specialized structures at the end of the chromosomes composed of the repeated DNA sequence (TTAGGG)n and specific proteins bound to the DNA. The telomeres protect the chromosomes from degradation and end to end fusions. READ MORE

    Abstract : Respiratory Epithelium. Örebro Studies in Medicine 99. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is caused by a mutation in a cAMP-activated chloride (Cl-) channel (CFTR). Mortality and morbidity in CF is mainly due to the deregulated responses of the airway epithelial cells. READ MORE

  5. 20. Plasminogen activator inhibitor type-1 : structure-function studies and its use as a reference for intramolecular distance measurements

    Author : Peter Hägglöf; Umeå universitet; []
