21. Assessment and improvements of thermal-hydraulic correlations and methods for the analysis of the Jules Horowitz Reactor
Abstract : Nuclear research reactors are used to test materials for current and future nuclear technologies, and to produce radioisotopes for medical purposes. Most of the existing Material Testing Reactors in Europe have operated for more than 50 years and new ones are needed. READ MORE

22. An Experimental and Theoretical Study of Decentralized Gas Fired Liquid Heating
Abstract : The effects on the energy situation in industry when gas fired liquid heaters replace steam have been determined by energy surveys performed in a brewery and a slaughterhouse, measurements of the performance and emissions from liquid heaters installed in these industries, and theoretical analyses of the potential energy saving. The theoretical study in the first part of the project provides information that allows assessment of the effects on the energy situation, of part or complete conversion to decentralized heating, under the conditions prevailing in the industries concerned. 23. Machine Learning Techniques for Enhanced Heat Transfer Modelling
Abstract : With the continuous growth of global energy demand, processes from power generation to electronics cooling become vitally important. The role of heat transfer in these processes is crucial, facilitating effective monitoring, control, and optimisation. READ MORE

24. Enhanced boiling heat transfer from a novel nanodendritic micro-porous copper structure
Abstract : Following licentiate thesis is a summary of the advances made within the research project - Micro- and nano structured surfaces for enhanced boiling heat transfer – which is a collaboration effort between the Divi-sion of Applied Thermodynamics and Refrigeration and the Division of Materials Chemistry at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). The main objectives with this research project has been to: develop methods for producing highly efficient boiling surfaces with well defined micro- and nano-structured porous surfaces by the use of micro- and nano-manufacturing techniques. 25. Numerical Modelling of Subcooled Nucleate Boiling for Thermal Management Solutions Using OpenFOAM
Abstract : Two-phase cooling solutions employing subcooled nucleate boiling flows e.g. thermosyphons, have gained a special interest during the last few decades. This interest stems from their enhanced ability to remove extremely high heat fluxes, while keeping a uniform surface temperature. READ MORE
