  1. 21. Cluster investigations of the extent and altitude distribution of the auroral density cavity

    Author : Love Alm; Göran T. Marklund; Tomas Karlsson; Rickard Lundin; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Auroral density cavity; auroral accelaration; Cluster; in situ observation; electron density; pseudo altitude; Physics; Fysik;

    Abstract : The auroral density cavity constitutes the boundary between the cold, dense ionospheric plasma and the hot, tenuous plasma sheet plasma. The auroral density cavity is characterized by low electron density and particle populations modified by parallel electric fields. READ MORE

    Keywords : Adaptation processes; adaptive capacity; climate change; forestry; participatory methods; perceptions; private and public organizations; risks; roles; stakeholder dialogues; stakeholders; Sweden; transdisciplinarity; urban regions; Anpassningskapacitet; anpassningsprocesser; deltagandemetoder; intressenter; intressentdialoger; klimatförändringar; privata och offentliga organisationer; risker; roller; skogsbruk; Sverige; transdisciplinaritet; uppfattningar; urbana regioner;

    Abstract : This thesis analyses how societal adaptation processes in public and private sectors at the regional to local level in Sweden are enacted. The thesis pays particular attention to critical factors that constrain or enable adaptation by focussing on: who are the stakeholders, how do different stakeholders perceive their capacity to adapt, and the role of stakeholder interaction in facilitating adaptation processes A combination of two analytical perspectives is used where one is based on key concepts within adaptation literature, and the other draws on boundary crossing and transdisciplinary knowledge production (stakeholders, adaptive capacity, and science-based stakeholder dialogues). 3. 23. Linear and Non-linear Deformations of Stochastic Processes

    Author : Gustaf Strandell; Maciej Klimek; Richard Aron; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mathematical analysis; Riesz bases and frames; Weakly stationary stochastic processes; Set-valued analysis; Matematisk analys; Mathematical analysis; Analys;

    Abstract : This thesis consists of three papers on the following topics in functional analysis and probability theory: Riesz bases and frames, weakly stationary stochastic processes and analysis of set-valued stochastic processes. In the first paper we investigate Uniformly Bounded Linearly Stationary stochastic processes from the point of view of the theory of Riesz bases. READ MORE

  4. 24. Requirements Engineering that Balances Agility of Teams and System-level Information Needs at Scale

    Author : RASHIDA KASAULI; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Context: Motivated by their success in software development, large-scale systems development companies are increasingly adopting agile methods and their practices. Such companies need to accommodate different development cycles of hardware and software and are usually subject to regulation and safety concerns. READ MORE

    Author : Samu Potka; Svante Linusson; Victor Reiner; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mathematics; Matematik;

    Abstract : This thesis consists of the following six articles.Properties of the Edelman-Greene bijection. Edelman and Greene constructed a correspondence between reduced words of the reverse permutation and standard Young tableaux. READ MORE
